The Cycle Begins?
The last 5 days has seen sunspots reported everyday. Could this finally be the upswing into the new cycle? The most recent five days (oldest first): 13, 26, 13, 13, 13 and 29 for the 6th. That's 107 for this month so far!
Compare that to November 2007:
Total 44 - Maximum: 10 on 16, 24 // Minimum : 0 on 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, 29, 30.
and it looks like we are coming out of the bottom of the old cylce, unless January 2008 somehow produces less than previous lows and less than this month so far, but that isn't likely.
Also flux levels have been active in the last few days at low levels, although I haven't noticed any significant increase in DX over the usual summertime skip, if anything it's been a bit noisy.
