Tweed Radio in Turmoil
Did they quit or were they pushed? That’s the million dollar question on many people’s lips as the Tweed Radio DX Group ushers in a host of new faces in a complete committee overhaul.
Gone are President 43TR001 Ray, Secretary/Treasurer 43TR002 Jenny and Executive Vice President 43TR441 Gary and in their place two fresh new faces who it’s hoped will rescue the proud Aussie group from the brink of extinction and breathe some life back into it pitiful existence.
According to details obtained by our site thanks to emails from concerned TR members, Loretta and John 43TR301 of Bendigo Victoria have kindly offered to take up the positions of President and Secretary/Treasurer following a period of group unrest blamed upon a lack of initiative at the top, poor communication and a rarely updated website.
Regardless of the reasons for such an extreme makeover, it is possible that the previous Committee lacked the experience, the high level administration skills and the insight required for running an organisation such as Tweed Radio and making it a success.
Hopefully, Loretta and John can make a go of it.
