There are a number of mechanical devices which increase sexual arousal, particularly in YL’s. For men, though, it's the Icom IC-7700 state of the art rig from ICOM. The new IC-7700 is a top-performance HF/6m transceiver closely related to its "sugar daddy", the deadly IC-7800, but in this case fresher than a high school virgin on prom night!

Specifically, this latest super-duper transceiver to hit the Ham and Freeband market has no less than 2 independent DSP units — the same type used in the IC-7800. Word has it that one of the DSP is dedicated to the transmitter and receiver, and the other to the spectrum scope which makes for more convenient operations and accurate readings on the scope.

According to specs listed on the ICOM site, the IC-7700’s single receiver allows no-compromise RX performance at a reasonable price (See below?!?!?!). BNC sockets on the rear panel and CI-V allow easy connection and synchronization of a second ICOM transceiver such as the 756 Pro III as a secondary receiver — providing you have the dosh of course.

Some of the other awesome specs include:

* HF/6m transmitter with a MOSFET PA delivering 200W output at full duty cycle.
* Quiet, built-in switch-mode mains power supply.
* Single HF receiver with I/Q second mixer, offering +40dBm 3rd-order intercept point.
* Built-in automatic tracking RF preselector.
* The built-in tracking preselector, and relay-switched front end, offer unrivalled strong-signal HF performance.
* Built-in high-speed automatic antenna tuner.
* The IC-7700 tuner covers the HF and 6m bands.
* Selectable 15, 6 and 3 kHz roofing filters.
* An much, much more!

At a price of $8,605.03 AUS, £3,990.00 UK or $7,919.51 US, the IC-7700 will be out of reach for most Freeband DXers. Those lucky enough to be able to splash a bit of cash around, however, will no doubt have their eyes on it as a welcomed addition to the radio shack bench top.
