The Weakest Link?
Discovered a possible weak link on the radio last night guys... I’ve the radio set up the way I like it. The antenna, touch wood, is still in one piece after the high winds of late. The feedlines have been replaced and the shack decor has had a revamp.
Sadly though, there’s a fly in the ointment... My voice! After an hour long QSO with a local I haven’t heard for ages, I felt the old voice going croaky. Yeah, the back of my throat was drier than one of Ghandi’s flip flops!
Is this a case of being out of the "way of it" (i.e. long chats) or should I keep a brew handy for emergencies? When the prop was running, a 4-5 hour stint was a doodle!
Should I ask the yl for tips as she’s on the phone for hours?
