‘11m DX Activities Oz’ can reveal that the ‘Voice of the Pacific’ 41SP001 Tom from the Land of the Long White Cloud will be travelling to the Land Down Under in 2008 for some much needed rest and relaxation.
One of the world’s best known Oceania based DXers on the Eleven Metre Band and others, Kiwi Tom (Pictured above) will be in Australia’s Sunshine State from August 2 to 28, staying in the South Eastern Queensland QTH’s of Brisbane and Surfers Paradise.
While the city of Brisbane is known to many DXers the world over, Surfers Paradise is the jewel of Queensland's Gold Coast and one of the most popular holiday DX-stinations in 43 Division. Home to some outstanding theme parks, shopping malls, alfresco dining restaurants, art galleries and beautiful golden sandy beaches, Surfers is sure to provide Tom with non-stop physical and eye candy action during his stay.
Hopefully, Tom will also have time to catch up with some of the VK4 locals such as myself during his stay with many sure to be cueing up to take him out on the town for a quiet beer or two.
