*ACTIVE SOON* 43/1OT071
The pilgrimage of overseas Freebanders to the world’s infamous 'Land Down Under' continues with an announcement made recently that popular Italian DXer 1OT071 Nicola will be visiting our idyllic shores in coming months as part of a special Pacific Tour, in the same mould as past OC tourist 30DX401 Christian. According to news posted on the Oscar Tango DX Group website, Nicola will be active on 27 MHz radio during his stay in Australia and will be using the special callsign of 43/1OT071.
Upon hearing the news of Nicola’s impending stopover, many 43 Division radio communications hobbyists such as 43OT001 Steve have indicated their keenness to catch up with the touring Freebander at some stage although it is unclear at this point which States of Australia he will be visiting.
On behalf of the team at ‘11m DX Activities Oz’ we would like to wish Nicola all the very best during his stay in Australia and hope that he takes the opportunity to meet with some of the resident on-air characters around the country who provide so much to the identity of 43 Division DXing.
