Is the peak of the next solar cycle the end of the world?
Apprentice Nostradamus types are predicting the end of the world as we know it on the 21-12-12 which supposedly is the last day of the Mayan calendar. They claim massive solar flares will destroy us while we are madly going about our DX'ING Is this really going to be our last cycle?
Heaps of doomsday sites are now popping up over the net with different religious theories. What's new? Y2K meltdown has been and gone with all the other past BS. But this involves our best DX cycle!
Claims that the alignment of planets will cause north/south poles to shift, solar flares will destroy us, war, global warming, famine, disease, drought, terrorism etc.
Are you prepared in your battery powered DX'ING bunker with your Snack in the Shack recipes ready to go; LP Gas bottles filled and solar panels taking current? Will that help you towards your unknown destiny goals or will you just sit it out and enjoy the apocalyptic view with mic in one hand and a beer in the other?
Forgot to mention the rise of the indigo children and that the J-rod aliens are coming. I suppose when we reach that date we will all know if the crystal ball theories are FACT or FICTION.
